About Enki

When Enki first began making waves, it was for a concept that the founder and head creative, Jess Walker, solely pioneered. Photoshoots in exotic locations with locals and tribes wearing Enki sunglasses and not the typically styled models.

Inspired by his early travels throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Mexico, and Central America, he would take portrait photos of exotic locals with his small digital camera. Later, when he launched Enki, fuelled with the same passion, he began shooting them with Enki sunglasses on.

As a young man on the streets of Bombay, India, and Sri Lanka, he learnt and taught himself his own style of photography and subject direction, which he later perfected when he began shooting his own Enki campaigns. Combined, these elements forge the trademark look for which he and Enki are known globally.

When the brand first launched in 2013, he travelled with Australian photographer Sarah Christensen to the remote Omo Valley, Ethiopia, for Enki x The Mursi tribe, and later in 2015, to the Thar desert of Rajasthan, India, for Enki x The Kalbellia tribe. For Jess, they were his ultimate muses and inspiration, and it wasn't just about the shoots. It was about being immersed in their culture for weeks at a time and forming intimate friendships. It was about being in harmony with them. This is how they got such amazing shots. It was a dream time, and the deep connections they made were reflected in the stunningly beautiful images they captured.

Not long after, Jess met nudist Marisa Papen and proposed an African journey to her. With years of travel experience, his connections, and Marisa’s bravado, he envisioned her naked in front of the Giza Pyramids, and with the tribes, around six months later they landed in Cairo, Egypt, and then travelled down into the land of the Surma people of Ethiopia. They then went on to travel through Turkey to Istanbul and Cappadocia and later to Rome, Italy, and what unfolded was more revolutionary art. Iconic nude shoots that made huge headlines from the world's biggest media outlets. New York Post, The Sun, and The Daily Mail, just to name a few. Totalling over eight figures in views for each campaign, it solidified the brand's reputation as the wildest on the planet, and Jess proudly declared Enki the cult of rebellious hearts.

Currently, because of particular digital laws, Enki cannot publish the majority of the nude imagery on this webpage.

Enki's source of inspiration is drawn from the arts, ancient cultures, exploration, and a genius that refuses to do anything that's done in the same repetitive way that's continuously flashed to us. For Enki, it's always been about an image and vibe that's entirely different from every other brand out there, and it's about getting away from the same shoots and designs that the majority unconsciously spew out.

Whether it's their campaigns or designs, there is so much magic in them, and they are always doing something entirely different from everything else.

Enki’s way of doing things is unique and powerfully soulful, and it's all about radical self-expression without boundaries. They don't ask for permission.

Welcome to the intriguing and colourful Enki.
